indicators not flashing when locked/unlocked???

I have a 1998 306 DTurbo, i didnt think that the 306 at this age flashes when you lock/unlock the car, and it hasn't since i bought it second hand back in march...so i thought this was normal. But i went to a peugeot dealer as my hazard lights wouldn't work after trying several attempts, when i got this fixed the guy at peugeot told me that the indicators should flash when i lock/unlock the car...anyone have any idea's if this is correct or not? and if so a solution? thanks!!

Wife had a 1996 dturbo lights never flashed when locking, as long as indicators and hazards work i won`t worry about it ,
but to put your mind at rest there are a few 306 dturbos in my area , i`ll ask a few of the guys and see , give me a couple of days.

Checked today with 3 x Dturbo owners , they all said No lights operated when activating their central locking, maybe later models are different , couldn`t get anyone in anything newer than a 1997 model, sorry.
