Question Idle control valve

Hello, just wondering if anybody can shed some light on my situation please ?? Whats happening is once u get to a junction to stop, as u slow down and come to a stop the revs are staying high and are either staying high or coming down really slowly but more than likely they stay up high , anyways 5 months ago i had a tune at home guy come out and have a look and he cleaned the idle control valve up but warned that it may need replacing quoting £90 + fitting it, anyways it was ok up until 2 weeks ago when the problem occurred back up again, im getting very frustrated with this car as ive only owned it for 2 years and its had so much work done to it
If anyone can help please email me at kell2831@aol.com
