Hello, wondering if anyone can help me out, how dya know if your coil pack is playing up or needs replacing ????

one problem that is associated is misfiring of the cylinders

How dya know if its misfiring ?
Sorry female peugeot 306 xsi owner

The problem i have is i drive somewhere leave it for an hour and then restart it to leave but the problem is it wont start for at least half an hour ??? it doesnt do it all the time but when it does its annoying !!!!!
The rac told me to change my battery so i did.

any ideas ??

when it missfires you will know, it will run like a bag of spanners, errors all over the joint.

when was it the last time it was serviced?

i havent done it since i owned it but ive only had it a year...

Will a service fix the problem

i had my brother take a look and he checked the spark pluga and there fine but said it could possibly be the coil pack???

yeah your suppose to service the car every 20,000 or once a year (which every comes first) - recommended.

i couldnt tell you if it is or isnt the coil pack...best place would be a garage.

ok thanx will probably get it in the garage next week anyways, its done 80,000 miles + its a 1999 model too, will have to check its log book and other documents i have to see when it last had a service, oh it doesnt sound like a bag of spanners either, my brother was quite impressed...so hopefully it just needs a service...thanx for advice.....
