Exclamation Heater on low setting perminant 306

Hello the heater on low setting perminant. I can turn it up and down it works fine. But it never switches off fully you can hear it alittle. Also before you start the car you can hear the heater alittle as well.

Is this normal and comes on alittle but never switches of?

thanks

I had a similar problem on mine. It was the heater resistor pack that had failed, and looks like this:

It's mounted in the front bulkhead under plastic scuttle near the wiper and water drain rubber, so is susceptible to water ingress.

Put your wipers up, use a torx screwdriver to take the plastic surround off, take out that funny square rubber tubing and you'll see it mounted on the right hand side (standing in front of the car).

They're only about a tenner or so from Peugeot.
