Engine went bang in my 98 306 DT so I'm swapping it with another from a 96 Turbo D. Bit of a nightmare because everything is different so I have had to swap everything including the fuel pump.... nighmare!!!
Main problem is now at the back of my old engine is a sensor which is part of a 17mm bolt. On the new engine this is a round blank bolt with an indented square shape in the middle. Does anyone know what tool I need to fit this? I don't seem to have anything in my garage thats the right size. Cheers Chris |

Just for peeps reference I have been told you need a sump key for this. I managed to get it off with an adjustable wrench in the end though so happy days!!
