Electrics ?

Are the electrics on Peugeots a nightmare ? or is it just cos they is french !
Everywhere you read about them its on the leccy side.

Had my full service the other-day which highlighted rear wiper and offside electric window inop. Its been behaving like a young whippersnapper quick, responsive etc............................. then today pulled up at a juntion and it seemed to have a complete electrical failure for a split second, radio went off dash lit up like a christmas tree and threatened to stall, nursed it home expecting it to breakdown imminently, arrived home came to lock it and the central locking seems to have gone boobs up
now whilst idling the handbrake light and trip meter,odometer seem to flikker faintly ......... boding impending doom ? - the garage who did the service had it on the computer and stated all was fine and i believe and trust them as i have been using them years.
would this now show on a diag or does it need specialist auto electrical investigation ?

its a 306 02 Meridian estate in silver, half leather trim - originally from the pudsey are according to the log book, tho i bought via a dealer - can supply reg if anyone from that area knows of this particular vehicle

As title suggests i look a right knob now, but the garage manager is now on the warpath. Went to take it to the garage the other day for them to give it another once over and it failed to start [ completely dead ] rang the garage who said they'd be out as soon as. Pulled up opened the bonnet and lo and behold the negative terminal had come off the battery, didnt i feel a right donkey - the manager went ballistic as it had only had a full service and health check a couple of days before. They've taken it again, head mechanic will be set on it, double checked by manager and delivered back to me FOC.
