Cold start issues

Hi all

Need some help all my car has a problem with cold starts when the engine is still cold it cuts out when changing down gear and putting the clutch in happens when switching from reverse and 1st aswell. These problems never occur when the engine is warm though

Any help would be much appreciated as i have had to repair and fix so much on this damned car its a phase 3 1.4lx on a 2000 'X' plate

Choke or egr valve? Not 100% sure coz I'm more of a diesel head but you should try disconnecting the egr.
