Default car cuts out / stalls under hard acceleration

hi all this really to help my bruv out, he has got a 1999 2.0 hdi and the problem is as the title say's

so far a mechanic to tried to fix it but with no joy, so far he has fitted a new cam belt + kit, new water pump, new cam shaft senser, fitted a new fuel pressure senser to rear of high pressure fuel pump, and a new pressure sensor to injector rail, changed the fuel filter, and applied injecter cleaner.

but even after all that work it still has the same fault, so if any help that would great

regards

kieron

does he get any problems changing gears or high clutch or some dodgy noises when the clutch is pressed...was just thinking it could be this as it seems under hard accelleration the car is under load and the stalling could be those parts failing....could be well wrong but an idea

The in tank lift pump.
Relatively easy to fix, and reasonably cheap. It is the pump stalling/failing and not sending diesel to the engine

I've got exactly the same problem and have just changed the lift pump and it still does it so its not that.

If you rev it higher in 2nd gear then change to 3rd it doesn't do it, just when pulling from low revs in 3rd or 4th it cuts out around 3000 revs.

Follow the battery earth cable to the gearbox....check the connection on the gearbox....I've seen these chafing and causing engines to stall.
