can I seal a leak from my gearbox?

I have a pug 306 1.4 meridian. I had the gearbox replaced about 6 months ago. it was a recon! it has had a slight leak since. I was wondering if I use a product like redex will it work to seal this leak. cheers jac

hi,,depends on the leak but i doubt it,,most likely the diff seals,worst case casing joint.
both pretty straight forward repairs.
