Default 306 remote

Hi I have just bought a 2001, 306 and the remote locking does not work on the key buttons, I have tried a new battery but it is not that. I have obtained a spare remote from my local breakers which I know works because we tried it on the donor car before it was broken up.

My question is can the working remote be reprogrammed to be used on my 306?.

Many thanks
Neil

Im assuming youve got a phase 3 306 going on the year? So on the key you should have 2 buttons on the key fob and no red light?

You can try the method in the previous post but if that doesnt work your screwed and these need to go to pug to be reprogrammed.

Not only will you have to pay for the keys to be reprogrammed, but you will also have to pay for the key code, unless you have that too. For some reason the key forgets, its happened to me.

If you pay for the key code you will get to keep it, so if the key forgets or loses battery power in the future then you will only need to get it reprogrammed. Nice touch peugeot! Take 2 keys, they only charge you for the reprogramming and code, not per key, oh log books required too.
