Default 306 meridian 1.8 no idle

Hi everyone,

this is my first post my wife car will run great for ages, then it will decide not to idle for a day a week then goes back to working fine, the engine stops anytime that the car does, it will stop if you knock it out of gear whilst moving, it starts up straight away, but the only way to stop it doing it is to keep your foot on the accelertor and keep the revs up, anyone got any ideas
thanks,

gary

I think on your motor you cab adjust yourself easily enough. The last one of these I saw just needed pliers or spanner and you adjust it to suit. Easy way to find it is by getting the bonnet up and have somebody rev it while its on. Then when you know where it is you'll see how it works

This engine has a idle speed stepper motor. Its a black cylindrical shaped thing made by magnetti marelli.
Its attached to the throttle body.
There is no manual adjustment.
