306 LX automatic transmission squeak

I have a 1998 306 LX 1.8 with an automatic transmission. Since buying a couple years ago, it makes a squeak/squeal when it shifts from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. The faster I'm accelerating, the worse the noise. It sounds a lot like a belt slipping. I've had the main engine belt replaced during the time I've owned the car, but that didn't affect this noise. I'm 99% sure this noise is coming from the transmission or drive train.

Has anyone experienced this? Any thoughts on fixing it? The car is old, but has treated me so well, I would like to keep it alive as long as I can.
