306 Gti6 few questions, please help!

hello i new here but got few questions,

can i change the top suspension mounts without removing shock from hub, was such a pain in ass to get the coilovers in the hub so really dont want to take them back out.

also i put the gti6 engine in my meridian 1.8 16v a/c,
when i removed the engine out the original car i unlocked the ecu by disconnecting the ecu while running, so in the 1.8 i removed the chip reader round ignition barrel, dissconnected the 2 plugs under the dash (imobilser box) yellow and black i think, but since then central locking doesnt work, will connecting one of those plugs fix it? i dont want to risk trying it incase it locks the ecu.
