Hi,
I have a 2001 1.4 Meridian with a/c. When the heating control is in auto it should modulate the fan speed. However, the fan always run flat out, I can't even switch it off in the car! If I take it off of auto, turning the dial to the manual positions, it still runs flat out! Very occasionally, and momentarily, it might slow down. On this model is the fan speed control within the fan or on a block of resistors? Anyone else had this fault? HELP! Thanks, Steve |

i can remember looking at something about this problem a while back now, but they basically replaced the resistor/fuse and that sorted the problem, if i find the thread i will post a link.

Hi,
Have fixed the fault! Turned out problem was with the fan itself - I guess the speed control must be built in. Anyway, £5 down the breakers yard - money well spent! Thanks, Steve |
