Default Torch (Boot Courtesy) Bulb Replacement

Hi,

The torch bulb that doubles as the courtesy bulb in my 3008 has blown and when my main dealer said it would have to be ordered in didn't have any in stock i brushed it off with a don't worry ill get it at halfords - but for the life of me i can't find any where that stocks the particular bulb

Identifying etchings on the bulb are 'PHILIPS 4V 1A HK' & '1F7'

Are they really that rare?

thanks,

dan

Looks like a standard push-in torch bulb, so shouldn't be a problem. Sure its 4V? bit unusual as it doesn't fit with battery values, not 4.8V?

Somewhere like Maplin may have them, or search online, try here

yep, absolutely sure it says 4v I tried maplin/amazon/eBay/Philips already after having no luck at halfords....

very odd, can anyone check theirs to see if it's the same? the plastic cover cover the torch bulb just pulls out then do the same with the reflective ring to access the bulb takes no more than 2min to get to.

thanks

dan

If you still have trouble getting a new bulb, consider getting a replacement torch off eBay, I got a spare for £5!

It's a fairly standard, albeit quite outdated, torch bulb. After a bit of hunting I found an LED replacement on eBay, although it wasn't cheap at £12.
