Default Sat Nav Surround

Yo Geezers,

One new happy 3008 owner here. I have been following this forum for ages but thought I could not really put my two penneth in until I took delivery of my 3 double o 8 (Ian Flemming sue me if you think your hard enough).

ANyhow, I now have my white 1.6thp wagon and she is a beauty and apart from her being very very thirsty (she may cut down on her drinking habit when she has run herself in a bit) the only issue I have is a creaky plastic surround to the sat nav. I am not sure if any other member experiences this issue but it seems to get a bit better when the heaters been on a bit.

Oh yeh, another small issue is that when the sun shining in me face and I pull the sun visor down a tad it is only about an inch away from me head

One of very few criticisms of the 3008 is the build quality of the interior.

I too have the built in Sat nav but never had a problem regarding that but I do have some annoying "rattles and squeeks" that appear from nowhere and disappear with a slam of a door, welcome to world of Peugeot!

Regarding the sun visor, never used it to be honest, always had a nice pair of Ray Bans handy!

It's a shame that such a nice car is spoilt by squeaks and rattles , it's not all the time it vary' s with the road surface and the temperature, I don't have any sat nav squeaks my worst one comes from the roof blind when it is open .

Mine doesn't!

My only issue in this regard is that on one really hot day the doors seemed to be squeaking against weatherstrips gone soft and pliable in the heat. Otherwise, not a squeak or a rattle.

Compare that to the new Passat I've just driven back from darn sarf which had a small but bloody annoying rattle from the passengers A pillar area. A hire car with 80 miles on it when I got in it, made my common as muck Pug feel rather well screwed together in the interior stakes. And what's this VW obession of filling gaps where switches would be with cheap blanking plates, instead of designing them out like Pug do now? After the disappointing Passat I was indeed pleased to be welcomed to the world of peugeot for the 6 mile journey from work to home.

If your car rattles, get it mended!

I cant believe it, I dont believe it, the famous chopper as responded to my thread, god bless ya governor.

I dont think the creaky sat nav could be mended as it seems to be the expansion and contraction of the plastic being that it disappears when it warms up a bit. Apart from getting 28mpg at the moment I love the pug, its the only car I have owned that when we have got out I have to turn round and admire it.

Does anyone know what those slots are for by the buttons to turn off the reversing aid and alarm (lower right hand side of steering). The sales geezer hadnt got the foggiest either.

Indeed I do, Sir! In Le francais most of the motorways are toll roads. In order not to have to carry around bags full of worthless Euros, our garlic eating cousins use pre paid cards instead and these slots are there as a handy place to stash one's card.

To be fair, and completely balanced, as wonderful as my current 3008 is proving to be, the first was a horrible machine that fell apart quicker than Daniella Westbrooks nasal cartilege.

Thank god for that, I thought I had to feed pound coins in their to keep the lecky topped up. I thought the 5 quid of pounds coins ive put down the slot have lasted well in keeping the electrics going. I'll contact pug centre today to see if I can get a refund.

Default Noise around door seals.

I too had a problem with a noise around the door seals.Dealer applied silicoln grease to the door rubbers/seals.This did cure the noise from around the door.
