It's not a fault as such, cos nothing is broken, but it's a definite shortcoming in the design.

Over uneven surfaces the monocoque flexes slighly and to doors and dash move about fractionally relative to the structure of the car and makes a squeaky/rubbing noise. For some reason it's worse in hot weather. There is no cure, except for turning the radio up a notch. Every 3008 owner I personally know has encountered this now the weather is warming up over here.

Mine does it as I reverse off my driveway and down on to the road.

to be onest, i have noticed that and yes you right hot weather make difference. Here in Malta we have between 35 to 45 degress weather and that is in the shade imagine in direct sun, mine is black so imagine how much heat she abosorves

We rarely get North of 30C here, although it can happen. It only seems to do it on the hottest days, and is otherwise silent all year round.

BTW, now passed 17K miles, engine is now nice and loose and eager, and the car has averaged 52.4 MPG since the the we acquired it. Gonna need some front tyres this month, as they're down to 3MM so effectively now scrap. Rears about 5MM. Can't grumble too much at that.

I'd deffo have another.

mine still 8k already too tires still OK, but i am taking it still for the service since we suffer for hot weathers here in Malta also its recommended by them to change oil due to hot weathers. i have a look although i believe you another think i found to is that the Multi-function display also get blurred with the heat so i will have them a look at it
