Default How to fold wing mirrors?

Hi, I've become a proud owner of a 3008 1.6 hdi egc Sport model today. After following the manual, I'm having trouble folding the wing mirrors in, so they don't scratch etc.
Can someone please inform me how to do this, it's driving me nuts!!
Kind Regards.

Do you mean electrically or manually?

I specified electric folding mirrors when I ordered my Exclusive last year - it was an option then but spec may have changed now.

If yours has electric they will fold when you lock the car. If they don't - it hasn't.

Mine is a Sport model, the wing mirrors fold manually. Only the Exclusiv model mirrors fold in when car is locked.
As I've said I looked at the handbook but to no avail!!!

Then am I missing something - if you want to fold them, just...grab 'em and fold them!

Obviously I am missing something. All cars I've ever had with manual mirrors are exactly that, you fold them manually. Even the electric ones on mine can fold manually - they're designed to do so that when they get clouted they fold and don't break - hopefully.

If there was some other specific 'manual' method then I'm sure it would be in the handbook - which you say it isn't.

The correct method is grab and push! They'll just be tight at the start!

the manul switch to fold electric mirrors is the same switch of the mirrors, to choose left or right on driver door. and works by pulling it backwords towards the drive gently

in my opion if electric mirrors get fold manualy you will f...k them

No you won't Jason - I have electric mirrors and only the other day in a narrrow road another car clouted the driver mirror - it swung around as if folded back. I simply swung it back by hand - it's fine.

Mirrors get knocked - it happens - and they're designed to take it....up to a point.

Roger that. The leccy ones on my 407 once took a clout, and one folded partially in. I pulled the button to close it, opened them again and they righted themselves. No damage at all.

Pointless, but no damage.
