Default Front parking sensors

Has anybody had any experience in fitting the official Peugeot front parking sensor kit on their 3008?

Is it a difficult job? Am I wrong to assume you would not be able to connect it to the LCD display like the rear parking sensor unless it was fitted at the factory? If I look behind the bumper would I find all the markings for the sensors ready to be drilled? Fitting the sensors wouldn't be a problem for me but not sure about the wiring Proberly make a pigs ear out of it!!

It should not be that difficult of a job to do, provided that required wiring is already there. If its not, you will have to do a bit of wiring yourself or find new harness. As for wiring it up to lcd, that should be very well posible, and all you would have to do is enable it via PP it seems. the sensors themselves are plugged into the front lights harness. you just need to find the one that suits your needs, there are two versions:

96 652 900 80 - DETECTION LOOM
- FRONT-REAR RADAR OBSTACLE SENSOR AND FRONT FOG LIGHTS UNTIL RPO No. 12515
- MDP FR RR RADAR OBSTACLE DETECTOR AND FRONT FOG LIGHTS UNTIL RPO No. 12515

6584 Z4 - DETECTION LOOM
- FRONT FOG LIGHTS AND FRONT-REAR RADAR OBSTACLE SENSOR SINCE RPO No. 12516
- FRONT FOG LIGHTS AND MDP FR RR RADAR OBSTACLE DETECTOR SINCE RPO No. 12516

You will also need to replace your PDC ECU as i guess your current one supports only rear sensors to one that supports both front and rear. Im a bit unclear when it comes to connecting the front sensors directly to pdc ecu as they go via the front lights harness, so some aditional wiring might be needed there. All diagrams you need are on sedre.

Thanks for the reply, I was hoping that it would be all wired up and just the sensors needed fitting,

You pay around £80-£100 for a quality DIY front parking kit or pay £200ish for peugeot's fully fitted unit, Think I'll give Peugeot a ring soon!

As for the front harness, you definitely need to get it. but from there, there might or might not be wiring, you would have to check the harness yourself. As peugeot fitted ones, i believe that they only do factory fitted, and the aftermarket units they do are actually different, and more similar to DIY ones. Check first before you commit to anytihng, ask them nicely if they are exactly same as ones installed during car build, or not.
