Default Beeping Tune

Hi,

I had a curious 'beeping tune' in the car today that got higher in pitch and then repeated itself....... no idea what it was though and nothing appeared wrong and hasnt happened since

if its of any help i was indicating into a car park which had a uphill spiral entry which meant as i started to turn the car was still indicating in the opposite direction. I just wondered if it was the peugeot 'your an idiot and turning the wrong way' warning - or even if there was such a thing?

da-di-da-diii, da-di-da-diiii

(LOL really didnt imagine typing that this morning!)

thanks

Dan

Sounds like the seatbelt warning. Or do you have front distance sensors - maybe picking up the curved wall???

Wonder would that be same beeping you get in the 407 when the rear indicator is playing up , to do with a bad earth.

The 3008s don't have the bulb warning system, so I can't see an earth problem upsetting it the way it does in the 407.

The front parking sensors use a constant pitch, whereas the seatbelt gets more and more strident until it sounds like the car is going to punch you if you don't buckle up, so i'd be more inclined to think it was that.

BTW, tut tut for not manually cancelling your indicators when you're done with them.
