We had a couple in for pdi and they are a nice car. Dont know why they have a silly electric handbrake though. Head up display is a nice touch.

The heads up display is awful. On Bimmers, Chevvys etc it projects onto the screen, but on the 3008 it projects onto a flimsy bit of plastic sticking out the top of the dash. Not only does it look like a piece of broken CD case, it's so low they might as well not have bothered. I, and many others, told them this at the press preview a year ago, but they didn't care.

Ref handbrake, I am considering changing our 307sw for a 3008 but am not sure about the brake. Reading in 'What Car' they go on about the hill start capability, but what I want to know is:- if I pull up onto my driveway, which is on a slope, can I stop the vehicle , and leave the engine running whilst I, say, get out to open the garage doors?

Short answer is yes, also it comes on automatically if the engine is switched off.

yes, you can. It'd fail its MOT at 3 years if you couldn't. Works just like a normal handbrake, except you don't yank a big lever.

I'm on day 6 of a 10 day jolly with a 3008 (I'm press officer for a large official pug club so occasionally get such jollies) and other than lacking in driver elbow room I can't fault it. That said, I fail to see what it does that my 308 couldn't do, exept allow me to wear a hat while driving.
