Hello to everyone out there,
As this is my first time on the forum i'm sorry if there's something I am doing wrong or not doing at all! Would like to know if anyone with a 1.6 HDI 3008 with manual gearbox has experienced gear selection problems, in so much as there being a definite 'clunking' sound and feeling to the gearstick when you select 2nd or 4th gear? The Garage who supplied the 3008, only back in June 2011, first said there was no problem, then after being persistent they said it was something else, then only after more persistent nagging from me the supplier got the 3008 test driven by a peugeot technician from the head office who immediately said yes there is a problem!!! Current situation is I'm still waiting for the part in question to be replaced! Just like to know if anyone else has experienced this kind of thing and what the solution was. Thanks |

Hi, thanks for your reply,
Apparently they have changed two cables that connect the gear stick to the gearbox but nothing changed. They have said they are now waiting for the piece under the gear stick that you make your selection with! Does that make sense? |

Thanks for the vote of confidence, I hope it isn't the gearbox although the guy from Peugeot originally said he thought it could be something to do with the clutch! I can only wait and see what difference the part they are changing will make. Will let you know what they do and what happens

Hi there, is anybody else experiencing 'problem' with the 3008? I have still got a gear change problem, clunking sounds as 2nd gear is selected; and a selection of niggles; vibrations and such. The other main problem is a leaking door seal giving a wind escaping kind of sound.
The dealer that I bought the car from new in June 2011, now tells me, after several return visits, that peugeot are aware of the gear selection problem and the door seal problem and are in the process of having new 'fixes' arranged. They tell me the problem with the gear selection is a problem with nylon bushes and the problem with the door seal is being solved by peugeot having a new strip made with different locating clips/ lugs, to replace the chrome looking strip at the top of the door. I understand from the dealer that that means replacement parts but I'll wait and see. Would be interested to hear if anyone else has had / is having 'teething' troubles with their 3008. |

After the vehicle being assessed by a Peugeot technical expert the gearbox has been changed under warranty, so far so good!

Hi,
i'm sorry if there's something I am doing wrong could be as this is my 1st time. I am also experiencing issues with my new Allure e HDi 112 EGC 6 Speed, moving between 1st & 2nd was very sluggish almost stalling, a firmware upgrade appears to have helped. Now I have the wheels back I find travelling uphill there is a constant changing up and down which results in the car slowing down, in traffic this is developing to be a concern. Any other experiences, thanks |

I have bought my 3008 in August of 2010. I have been having problems with it up to today.Yes today I was at the Peugeot garage again second time this week.
First I complained about the squeaky sound on all four doors. The solution they found was to spray silicon spray on the rubber /felt fitted to the upper part of the doors. I am still complaining about it, because I am against spraying silicon every 15days. another problem was that the rubber attached to the body where the front door closes the middle part started to disintegrate just after six months. I was told that this happened because we are rubbing our backs with it when entering/ exiting the car. They changed it. Than a seal from the turbo gave way. Peugeot Garage Fixed it. I had a problem with the driver seat rachet it was replaced too. Last January I had a problem with the gearbox (manual), I couldn't engage the gears especially second and forth gear. I was told that water had entered in the gearbox! They changed the gearbox oil and it improved a lot though 2nd gear is still a little bit difficult to engage. The last two problem arose three weeks ago, The turbo started doing a loud humming noise a soon as you switch of the car.and I start hearing wind sound entering the drivers door. The turbo was changed. but the wind sound entering the drivers door is still there they cannot find the problem. So as you can see even I share some of your trouble Ray |

As I said in my previous posting I was hearing wind sound on the drivers door.
I found the problem after some tests. It was not the door but the mirror that was causing the sound. It had the front surrounding a little bit detached so wind was whistling through the gap. Another problem solved. |
