Not sure how WBAC work, but similar companies pass on details of their on line price inquiries to buyers, even if you haven't yet made a decision to sell. WBAC probably get bids come in, and if a specific vehicle reaches a price where they can afford to up their offer, that's probably what happens.

I requested a quote from webuyanycar.com for my 4 week old, 800 mile 3008 GT, to see how much they thought it had depreciated.

The computer obviously did not consider me a serious vendor!

Well it is a diesel Chris.

Now, if you'd have had the 'limited edition' 1.2 auto GT Line that was only in production 6 months...
Dautres and Roma like this.

Hmm,
Dealerships wouldn't want that sort of information available when offloading their demo cars perhaps.
Not exactly a conspiracy, more likely a 'relationship'.

The humerous thing about this thread is that in one thread there are people complaining that they are still waiting to actually receive the car they ordered months ago and here we have people who have got their cars and after only having them a few weeks are contemplating selling them on and speculating on the money they'll receive for it.

Irony at it's best!

No, I'm of the opinion that this one is a breakout model that will have more demand. I mean it in a positive sense.

Just don't see how this response has any bearing on my post.

It really is ironic that in one thread people are angry that despite ordering their car at the beginning of the year, they are still waiting to take delivery of it nearly half way through the year yet in this thread, people who have their cars, some perhaps for only a few weeks are discussing the resale value.

Perhaps your definition of irony is different to mine so here are two ways of explaining how I define irony.......

As a matter of interest Paul, I've just done the same for 1.2 auto GT Line whose registration I found from a photo on-line and the quote was 25.00.

Maybe the value goes up daily based on how many days they run without breaking down and there is not enough data yet
