I doubt very much that 206 GTI wheels will protrude from the body work 20mm. They will be 20mm wider than the wheels you currently have on your car but this does not mean they will stick out from the body work.

The problem most people get is when they try and put alloys with a different offset on their cars and this results in them sticking out from the wheel arch.
