Question smokey 207 1.6 /110 hdi smoking on run down?

hi all bit of help needed on my 56 plate 1.6 16v hdi engine , ive only really noticed this today , an only happernds when im on run down(deaccel)
at any givern speed 20/40/60mph soon as i let off the accelerator it really smokes bad?

Seems you're covering all it could be eg, air, oil and fuel filters. Get a diagnostic check done and post up faults here.

Could be regens if it has a FAP , but as told you need codes , any fault reader will not do , it has to be a lexia3 diagnostics.

(please no sarcasm, you are the one looking for help, yes?)

ive done a dpf delete from the ecu and removed from exhaust also blanked egr valve off as well, theres no faults showing tbh , but soon as i turn igition off and restart problem is fine , for a while until it returns either from setting off harish from standstill or intermitantly cruiseing on the moterway , (the engine suddernly intermitantly holds back then clears and drives normal again?

You mentioned your EGR was causing smoke, and sorting that sorted the smoke. But your latest reply suggests it's still smoking?

What colour is it?

yearh . light blue colour , its like the engines burning oil oil yet ,it dose lose or burn oil its not white defo blue , i thought possibly injector ,yet engine sounds very nice ,and turbo whistles alot on setting off but im sure this is normal ,evern thow i have fitted another with no ecess play, like i say i only get this werid smoke when the engine is pushed hard via rpm from set of from a juction/turn corners very quickly /or on moterway intermitanty, if i dont stop the engine and reset the igition it will smoke all day long on run down (with accel pedal off) chuffing strange .be nice if i had fault codes

I had this issue right up until I rebuilt the turbo, I didn't have radial play, I only had axial play, and only very slight but it was enough under run down for the shaft to shift, allowing it to ingress oil, albeit a a very slight amount.

Check for axial play, and report back.

Phil
