Rear Wipe when selecting Reverse

Hi All

The Girlfriend has just bought a 207 06 plate 1.6 HDi, she's over the moon with it however while looking through some of the options via the wiper stalk/trip computer screen there is an option called something like parking assist, when selected the only option there is to turn on rear wiper when reversing. I selected this so a tick appears in the little box but it still does not work.

Am I missing something here or is there anything I can check incase something has failed such as a switch.

Also, I have read on here that some models have the option of closing the windows if left open by pressing and holding the lock button on the remote key, I tried this and it does not work, is this an option that can be activated in Planet as I'm waiting for mine to arrive.

I have a 307 and we are both going to join the Blue Dash Brigade when I get some time to carry out the mod.

i have this option on my focus, when reversing the rear wiper goes at the same time as the front. it been quite good lately with all the sideways rain at whitby and gateshead. anyways to get mine to work, you have to have the intermittant wipe going on front and be moving backwards for it to start...might be the same on peugeots or have you tried this?

Regarding the windows closing, this worked on my 307 and some other people, but a few said it didnt work...it should be under planet...i bet bettyswollocks can clarify that one for ya

As you say "some" models have these functions ,if you try and it doesn`t work then you don`t have it ,although if you had peugeot Planet you can sometimes activate options ,its just unfortunate that models don`t come with details of what they have and have not,
good luck with blue dash had it on my 307 and cck was a great help keep in touch with him.

cck, What made you get a Ford, why not another Peugeot?. I'm handy with a Soldering Iron and so should be able to do the change to Blue without any problems but if I get stuck you will be the first port of call, Thanks

Has anyone tried retro-fitting the folding mirrors yet?

Checked this and the wiper works when the front ones are on and you start reversing.

Yea, I can activate the option for the windows with planet for my 307, but still doesnt work...

Well i needed a bigger boot on a car to haul all my crap around, when i move camp, in one go. there was that and the fact that the finance and insurance was too much of a good deal to pass up. i do miss my 307 tho will never get the same of a car...good personality and always up for a challenge...
