i have a 207 1.4 8v on a 58 plate thats done 15000. i had my front discs and pads done last week and then a whole host of problems have started.

Anti-pollution fault keeps flash, as does power steering fault , and abs fault or fault in braking system also my speedo keeps failing, all since the change of discs and pads, well about 50 miles after getting them done.

Took car to my local pug dealer and they are telling me they want 800 to fit a new abs pump, i just cannot see how the pump has just failed , and 800 is well out of what i call resonable for a car thats done only 15k. has anyone had a prob like this and is it the pump or just an electrical glitch?????? all response wold be much appreciated

I would have thought it would be speed sensor issue myself , maybe some of the other guys have an idea.

Nothing wrong till they do brakes , ask them if its alright if you pay for an abs pump on the condition it fixes all those faults and payment on completion,see what they say, if they "know" thats the problem.
