Hi
The best "home" way of checking beam adjustment prior to fitting HIDs is to park facing a garage door or wall, and marking where the top beam pattern is. Once HODs are in, you can adjust the height using the beam adjusters at the back of the lamps to ensure the height is the same. The adjustment is typically required because the new lamps dont sit in exactly the same spot in the center of the beam reflector, hence it throws a different pattern - even slightly. As you already have them fitted, either get a mate to park their car infront of the wall/garage and mark heights - then, with your car at the same distance...adjust down your lights. Plan B, and the more correct way, is to get your friendly MOT testing station to adjust them for you with their beam checking tool. David |

I'm not entirely sure on the 207 but there should be a headlight height selector somewhere near your right knee?
And as mr gear said, even though you think they are right, your next MOT may not!

Just remember - when you adjust them, ensure that the headlamp adjuster on the dash has them at their highest setting... so that they cannot be lifted any higher than the "legal" position.

the electronic adjustor is at its lowest, is there any other way manually making it lower?

Hi there... Yes, usually there is - not seen a car without some other manual adjustment as the electronic adjustment still needs aligned. I assume your car has electronic headlamp adjusters? I cannot tell you where, but I would look at the bracket/mounting of the electic motor... must be there. There are sometimes adjustment screws on the motor actuator - that might be it if not on the bracket. Sorry no pictures! David |

Take it to an MOT station and ask them to slap it on their optical kit and adjust the alignment properly - should cost 10 or 15 notes. Mind you, if it was ok on regular bulbs but is not too high then there's a problem with the kit. A couple of issues to beware. 8000k is not equivalent to the standard incandescant white light, so the dibble won't like you. More worryingly, there's a proven correlation between fitting these kits and BSI failure on pugs. You must have it powered directly from the battery and then switched via fused relays fed from the original headlamp bulb feeds or you're liable to end up with an expensive repair bill. These multiplexed electrics aren't very fond of having bits DIY grafted onto them like tou could get away with in days of olde.
