Peugeot 207 gets new engine and transmission

I read over at http://www.auto-power-girl.com/cars-...ugeot_207.html that Peugeot decided to quit the 1.6 liter HDI engine that had an output of 110 horsepower in favor of a more powerful Euro 5 compliant 1.6 liter HDi turbo diesel engine with an output of 112 horsepower and 270 Nm of torque.

The fuel economy is just brilliant (61.4 mpg) and I am sure it will please a lot of potential buyers. They say that the new engine gets 50% of parts modified in comparison to the previous engine.

With the current prices of fuel, that 61.4 mpg is just great and the Peugeot 207 is a nice car to own, especially the SW version.
