Judders when pulling away

HI all,
I have a 57 plate 207vti sport that seems to have a little problem, when i pull away i get an annoying judder, this can be a tiny judder up to quite a large judder.
It's not happening all of the time, i can get in the car one day and its a dream to drive, the next it will have the judder and it generally feels quite rough. I took it to the dealer and because i now have 21000 on the clock the clutch is not covered on the warrenty, any ideas on what this could be and how i sort it?
