Ok rather to continue with the old thread I thought it best to start afresh otherwise the old thread will be a mash of various faults.
This morning I took the car back to my garage that in turn ran a quick diagnostic for my dash display message of Depollution System faulty. Now the actual fault appears to be ‘Exhaust Differential Pressure Sensor’. They explained various things about these types of faults but also said not to worry if the fault comes back on the display, to ignore it unless I find the running of the car impaired. If that did happen then of course to bring it back. It has put my mind at rest as having that dreaded engine management light illuminated makes you think of all kinds of things. I couldn’t find that much about this error online so was wondering if anybody here had any experience of this fault & the best way to rectify it without costing £1000’s? In the meantime the car is running great. |

Well seems like I stumped a few people here? Anyway for the record it appears that a loose electrical connector (driver’s side) was causing the fault to appear & to cause the car to occasionally go into limp mode. Since having the connector glued into place the fault has since disappeared, though it’s early days but so far so good.
The code it was displaying was P0473 which refers to high exhaust pressure. I didn’t pay anything for this ‘fix’ as I took it to a local garage but the dealer wanted to charge me over £100 just to do a diagnostic! |

Yeah the car is actually a joy to drive at the moment & it doesn’t have any strange noises (yet). As long as it behaves from now on I will be quite happy though remind me to never buy a diesel again, too much hassle.

To be honest matey I think you can get good and bad luck in any car/engine.
For me if I am been honest I think its the other way round, I dont think I would buy a Petrol again, £30 Tax, pulls like a little train. And trust me the last Diesel I drove was a mates maestro back in the day and this feels like a Rolls compaired to that lol. Anyway matey I am really glad its all finally sorted for you and hope you have better luck from now on with it. Stu |

I wish my tax was only £30 but unfortunately it’s around £90 but not bad for a 1.6 HDI 110 BHP I guess? But yes I will be going back to petrol after another couple of years or so.

Mine is only the 1.6 HDi 90bhp.
So even though i think mine pulls well yours must be even better with it been the 110 and not the 90 like mine |

You’ll be amazed at the difference 20 BHP can give. Yeah it’s pretty nippy & has the power to overtake quite adequately
