CC roof problem

Hi has anyone had a problem with the 207 CC roof, a while ago I had the roof down, but when I tried to put it back up the boot opened and the roof came up 1/2 way, the hydraulic pump was working but would not go any further. Well I used the manual system to lock the roof in place and took it to my local dealer.
They took a look and told me I had "jammed" the roof locking mechanism, well I new this to be incorrect as I had only used the key to operate the lock and checked this on my return home.

My question is as I have very little faith in the dealer network, would the lexia 3 system help with checking this problem out, I dont fancy throwing cash at a dealer if I can buy the tools to do the job?
