i dont mean to be patronising, but are your speakers turned up?

i say this because i know some units have a seperate volume for phones and radio function.

if so, put the phone to your ear, normal can you hear anything?

Default speakers

thanks for your reply John, to answer the radio is working fine and is playing ok, when i get a call the speaker makes the ringing sound when I answer the call the diplay then has a speaker symbol with a line through it and the message silent on the display, I have tried increasing the volume in car but no use, if i listen on the handset the volume of the person calling is fine ?

If it is a phone setting on the unit itself then do you know how i can change this as i can find no information in the manual.

I have tried with 3 types of phones, one is a HTC Wildfire, one is a nokia and the other is a HTC V101, I have also noticed that the section management of communications in the phone settings menu display is not accessible, I can go into the other telephone settings areas from the menus such as configuration etc but cannot get into the management of communication part of the programme this displays on the screen as like a dotted text message and not a full text ....... i'm stumped!
