Air Con Pump Replacement

Hi, I know that my car has an air con (climate control) problem. The pump is intermittently noisy and the cold setting is not very efficient. Unfortunately the supplying dealer disagrees and is reluctant to change the air con pump unless they hear the noise for themselves which never occurs when it goes in for investigation. Two questions…

1) How do you persuade a Peugeot dealer to change the pump under warranty? The car is only 1 year old.

2) Better still, how do you break the pump so they have to change it?
