Default ABS / Speed Faults

I've read the faults with PP2000 on a 207 this afternoon, and got the following:
  • BSI: No communication with the ABS or ESP/EHB ECU. Not characterised. Local.
  • BSI: Brake fluid level fault (signal not coherent or level too low). Not characterised. Local
  • Inst Panel: Vehicle speed information invalid. Not characterised. Local
  • Engine: Intermittent fault. Wheel speed information received from the ABS/ESP ECU via the CAN values invalid
  • Power steering: Intermittent fault. Absence of vehicle speed information fault

The detail within the Engine ECU fault is:
  • ECU fault code: P0500
  • Engine speed: 1101 rpm (note: engine wasn't running)
  • Coolant temperature: 15degC
  • Vehicle speed: 0kph
  • Manifold pressure: 360mbars
  • Richness regulation status: open loop (conditions for switching to a closed loop not yet satisfied)

The details within the Power Steering ECU fault is:
  • Fault code: C1408
  • Vehicle speed: 255kph (note car not running)
  • Input torque: -0.1Nm
  • Measured current: 0.0 amps
  • ECU temperature: -40degC

Whilst doing a Global ECU test - the ABS ECU failed to reply on numerous occasions.
Tried to clear all faults, but all reappeared after starting the car.
Must also be noted the speedo isn't working.

Initial garage diagnosis said a failed ABS ECU/pump. Would this cause all the above faults? including the speedo not working?

Thanks

Im guessing you checked the wiring, maybe try unplug abs ecu and see what faults you get then. Sure as hell sounds scary.
