Cool ABS Pump/ECU Problem 207

Hi All,

My Sons 207 56 reg 1.4S is currently displaying a fault diagnosed by Peugeot Hawkins Motors Cornwall linked to a faulty ABS block. As such I'm trying to located a replacment 2nd hand part. PEUGEOT tell me the part number of the ABS and ECU is 4541FX and 4542 NI respectively, the numbers displayed on the pump are 9661691580 & 10.0207-0076.4 .

Would any one out there be kind enough to tell me whether I need an exatact or partial part number match to the one attached to the pump itself - also some idea as to the part numbers needed to replace the ECU. Many thanks and regards Chris

Default 207 ABS problem

Hi I'm not sure of the fault code I will need to contact the Peugeot dealer and ask them to divulge this. However following their diagnosis they suggested a faulty ABS block was the cause of the problem ie STOP warning indicated on the dash board, plus faulty ABS displayed together with no speedo readout and power steering. Peugeout have quoted £862 price to repair.

To save myself some money I was hoping to pick up a 2nd hand replacement - its seams that there are plenty available via ebay however I don't know how important it is to find one with the exact part number match as detailed in my original question? Do you have any further idea's

This problem is the ecu only. It is a common problem. But of course I don't 100% know the history of the car and can only summise. But I am pretty sure.
