Default 207 SW (08) Oil Check warning

Hi, the Mrs's 207 SW has a warning when she starts up to say to check her oil level. Oil level is OK, any one any ideas on this one?

Is the car on a level surface?

Probably a mis-reading level sensor. Check with the dipstick.

How full is it though when you say OK?
My 407 was about 1/3 up the dipstick between min and max, but still get the warning. Topped up to near the max mark and the warning went away

I am sure the oil level is OK. The warning comes on every time the car is started, regardless of the cars level.
Would be nice to know the location of the sensor to check its connection!

How far up the dipstick is the level though?
I know anything above minimum is OK, but mine likes to have more for some reason

Sensor must be on the sump somewhere.... post last 8 digits of your VIN no. and I'll get you a diagram

Hi, it had a Peugeot service 6 weeks ago, oil level is very slightly high above max if anything, with the warning only starting last Friday, nothing previously.
VIN last 8= 34110070
Thanks JM
