Does any one know how many & location of water drains in the bulkhead under the front windscreen on a 207.
After it rains, the drivers side bulkhead under the wiper motor mechanism, completely fills with water & does not drain away, and sloshes about in the bulkhead, some finding its way to the passenger side & through the drain there, but mostly it finds its way through the pollen filter & into the drivers footwell inside the car. Is it easier to remove the plastic scuttle below the windscreen, or remove the wheelarch plastic shield to clean out the drain hole(s). Last edited by Bungie; 09-29-2010 at 06:47 PM. |

Hi
I'm having the same problem, i've removed the wheel arch shield and cannot find the drain holes ,maybe i can't reach them, i'm not sure. I've not had the plastic scuttle below the windscreen off,cos i'm not sure how to remove it. Theres a small hatch that removes and i can get my hand in and just feel the water with my finger tips, but's i think it's obvious that to get at the drain holes the plastic scuttle needs removing. Anyones any idea how to remove it ? Thanks |

just a quick update - took my 207 back to Main Dealer because car was still within original warranty period.
They have resolved the drainage clog up and said that 'they have now done something to the drain grommet so hopefully it wont happen again'. 1 hrs work ... No charge. It had a good test last weekend with all the rain, and its a thumbs up. It doesn't sound like emptying a washing machine anymore. |
