I have just bought a 207 1.6 16valve sport (08 plate) for the missus and have noticed the coolant temp gauge needle sits at the bottom of the range (50 degrees from the look of it). It will only climb to mid range when idling in traffic.
I thought this would mean that the thermostat was stuck open and overcooling the engine so went to my local garage for a fix they said theres no problem. I`m not convinced. The heater works ok it gets warm but not roasting. So the question is for any drivers of this model does your gauge do the same or is there a fault. Many thanks |

The coolant temp sensor gives a bit of trouble on this engine. Get a diag check done.
