Iv'e had my 207 1.4 sport (petrol) for 2 weeks now and the fuel consumption is awefull. The computer is telling me all kinds of fluctuating mpg figures, but basically every time I stick £20 in the tank im getting 85-90 miles before the fuel low light comes on, iv'e worked it out as 25.9 mpg. It runs smooth, no misses. Sounds nice and apart from being a bit guttless until the revs get up their she runs great, just sh** mpg, whats going on here, Me and the wife drive carefully. Its a 56 plate with 43k, just serviced by the garage I got it from. I had a good look underneath while running the engine and can't see any leaking fuel or fuel smell. Help appreciated.

obviously i would begining with checking air filter, fuel filter (if fitted), tire pressures, condition of oil and removing any dead weight you are hauling.
also sticky brakes is an idea to check.
