I have a Peugeot 206 Sw 1.4 petrol from 2002.
Changed the key box without the key chip, tried to start the engine obviously with no success. Then put the chip to the key box back again but the eco mode is on on the screen display. The issue was preceded by a dead diode on the alternator during a long drive. that event drained an old battery. The key trick above was done after the replacement with a new battery (the car was left with no battery for mare than 24 h). The dealer in the region I live told me that the ECU is broken and told me a new ECU is about 900 euros... Is there anything else I can do... Car details: chassis: VF32EKFWF42836120 engine: can someone provide an erased ECU (Sagem s2000 2a)? Or can the ECU be restored somehow? |

First thing i would do is recode the key and try starting.

I think I've tried this because I recovered the code from Peugeot...
