Hi,
Was wondering if anyone could help me with a problem I have with my Peugeot 206 automatic LX auto 51 plate. Basically whilst driving the Snow and Sport lights will flash intermittantly, they come on by them selfs and I am unable to turn them off until the car is switched off. I took it to a garage to have a diagnostic test and got the following results: Oil Pressure signal fault - intermittent fault Multifunction switch signal, intermediate position - intermittent fault and... Sequence solenoid valve, 1 output fault. Open circuit - Permanent fault If anyone can tell me anything about these faults I would be very grateful. Cheers! |

I know i'm on about software updates on these gearboxes, but its worth your while going to a dealer and seeing if there is a software update for the gearbox ecu. It sorts out alot of trouble with these boxes along with a fluid change.

HI IN MY HAYNES MANUAL,
It says when the snow and sport light flash its a warning that the gear box oil is low! So get it checked and topped up 0.5 litres is what it states to top up with. |

The gearbox needs a diagnostic check.

If there is no leak then its safe also to say it's not low on fluid.

please remember tho that the gearbox oil could of been changed, but unless u get it to peugeot and have the ecu reset and updated it will continue to give the flashing lights thinking it has not been done!
Why they want us to take car to peugeot is for money making! |

nothing else..if its in limp mode and snow/sport is flashing thats another ecu problem! most problems are the ecu getting confused not actual engines parts broken e.t.c! I have just finished doing a block and head change on a auto 206,,trust me i know about engines. |
