passanger airbag fault

when i brought the car the bloke at the garage said the passanger airbag keeps deactivating its self, he said he ran a diagnostic test on it and said the airbag switch needed replacing, so he sent the part onto me.the part is now fitted and it still comes up with airbag deactivated but it doesnt come up all the time anyone got any ideas.thanks

If its intermittent I'd check the wires under the seat first.
