No sound from original cd player/radio

Hi

My radio and cd player in my 2002 206 1.1 were working fine this morning but now there is no sound when I turn it on both when the engine is running and isn't. The display is working and says the radio is on and that cd's are playing and I am still able to change radio stations/ change volume etc but am getting no sound from the speakers. Any suggestions?
