Newcomer - 2006, 206 CC 1.6 DHI

Hi Everybody,

I just joined up becasue a friend has the above car and has asked me to service it for her.
I am completely alien to Peugeots being a BMW driver and would therefore appreciate any advice you may have regarding the following :-

Are there any particular pitfalls when doing a regular oil and filter service ?
Same but for the timing belt ..... when should it be changed ?

Where can I get software and a cable to connect to the OBD system (I use DIS for BMW so am familiar with using such systems)
