Default How to program a 206 key?

Need some help, when I bought my 206 back I only got one key as the insurance company had disposed of the spare. I need to program another for the car.

I have another key and know I need a blank transponder, my question is do I need a blank circuit board too and what way do I reprogram using planet?

Hope you can help.

Depends what your after if you want a remote key you'll need the circuit board, if it just a key to start car and use in the locks then all you need is a transponder.

Section in planet is replacement parts follow instructions and make sure you have all the keys to hand as you need to code the one your using at the minute also, can't really go wrong.

Yep, after a remote key. Looks like I'll have to browse ebay.

only the transponder needs to be virgin. You can use a used 206 remote & just replace the carbon id46 chip.

As for using PP to program it, you go into the "learning" section in BSI

Hi, I have just bought a secondhand 206 with only one key, but have ordered a replacement key. Did you manage to program the key - if so, please tell me what to do.
Thanks!
