Hi All, Bought my daughter a 1999 206 1.1l a couple of months ago after passing her test and the car has been fine up until now.
When the engine is up to running temperature and you stop the car and just let the engine idle, after a few minutes the revs rise slightly as though the auto choke is on, so if you blip the throttle to knock auto choke off, the engine starts to rev up and down, on its own, from tickover to about 1500 RPM. I have replaced the air temp sensor, the idle control valve, and the manifold air pressure sensor, and with each individual change, it hasn't solved the problem. Any ideas would be appreciated as to where to go from here. Cheers. Mick. |

Hi i have no idea how to fix that looks like you tried a couple of things. However your lucky that i am breaking a 206 1.1 engine from a 55 plate that has only done 34000 miles. Would you be interested in buying the engine?
Thanks |
