I own a '01 206 LX. I have had the engine diagnostics warning light on for the last few months now while life has been way too hectic to get anything done about it, particularly because the car is running as well as ever.
A friend told me recently that in his Toyota there is a jumper on the engine computer's circuit board. When he changes the position of the jumper the EDWL flashes out a number of flashes which tells what the problem is. I'm wondering if anyone has heard about any such thing in a 206/Peugeot? Doesn't look like it from Googling posts etc. but thought I'd ask anyway. |

nope nothing, you need to get planet hooked up to do a full diag and to get proper codes.
check the link in my sig to find someone local with planet.

just for a bit more info...
allot of the Toyota's come with this feature-very handy. pairing it with google gives you a free diagnostic reader pretty much! sadly no such thing is present on the peugeots. Not sure where you are from but if your in cornwall, I have PP and would be able to do a diagnostic for you.. though even without it, i would be willling to put money on it being an Oxygen sensor...as you said the car still seems to run ok. have you noticed a drop in fuel economy? |

![]() Thanks for the offer though. I'll bring the car to the garage just as soon as I've got any other reason to get there! In the mean-time I think I'll keep praying I don't break-down on the way to work. |

Did you check the Peugeot Planet map in John H's signature?
my guess is it would save you a lot of money than going to a garage ![]() and not much of a surfer myself, but can't beat a good swim in Cornish seas! went in a few days ago-surprisingly it wasn't that cold considering the time of the year! |

I'm in Dublin, Ireland. So unfortunately the only place on the map in Ireland is in Galway. What would it take to get my own copy though? Are these all people who work in Peugeot garages and bring the software home with them one evening?

Cool. Thanks for that. £110 is a bit over my budget. I'll get it if I ever have a nicer/newer Peugeot.
Thanks anyway. |
