Hi, my daughter has a 51 plate 2.0 HDI 206. Her problem is that the lower part of the plastic finger ring on the dipstick has broken away and part of it fell down the dipstick tube and is stuck near the bottom of the tube. My problem is can I just remove the tube and push it out or do I have to remove the sump.

Would it be possible to push it down the rest of the tube and then change oil and check oil to make sure it's come out of the sump. Would be easier than removing the sump and less risk of breaking the tube.
