Dash board fault code 8250. Help required!!!!!!

Hi,

Im having serious problems trying to start my 206 GTI. Its a 99 model 140 bhp.

I thought the issue was with the starter motor as it starts off a push start. So I changed it. Tried to start it and nothing.

I did get one little 'whirr' of the starter motor at first but then nothing.

However on the dashboard it when I turn the ignition on it shows a little spanner with the code 8250 next to it.

Does anyone have any advise? It would be much appreciated.
